Hi! I am Guisella, and thank you for being a part of the GGs community!
Macrame is an important part of who I am and has been in my life for a long time. I learned to do this craft when I was a young girl in high school in Costa Rica, where I was born and lived for 30+ years of my life.
I remember making macrame braids to style my hair alongside my friends as a way to express our individuality and creativity. I picked it up again after I moved to Phoenix, when COVID happened. Macrame allowed me to connect to the happiest memories I have of my home in Costa Rica.
By incorporating beautiful, colorful imagery and knotting of nature such as flowers, butterflies, and other flora and fauna, I am showing my customers a very special part of my heritage and my love for my country, while also inviting them to enjoy and appreciate it themselves by taking a piece of CR home with them.
It is incredible to see the community of artists I have met and am now part of. I cannot wait to continue to create more art for you all, and I endlessly thank you for all your support.
